Some updates...

I bet you would never of thought that these pictures were take in the middle of the winter...and we froze outside.

This is my beautiful niece...we were in Vina for a Christmas dinner and her school photos did not turn out...so I decided to take her outside in the freezing cold and snap a few photos of her. Hopefully this spring we'll get out to do a few more, then we will not freeze!

So much for the past year

Wow, it's been a full year since I have posted here...guess I was unsure of this whole blogging thing, funny thing, one year later I logg in and realize it's been that long :S
Well going to give this another try starting now.
These past few months have been quiet...and the next few will be as well. I decided to take a break and focus on me...yep, me for once, and I have to say I am enjoying it.
Check back as I will try my best to continue to post.

Wow, what a day

Wow, what a day yesterday. It was my second wedding of the season and I am still tired today! It was so hot too, I even got a little sun burn.
We went to Whyte Ave. first to an awesome graffiti wall for some fun photos, then over to the rail road tracks for some more photos. When we were by the rail road tracks there was a parade of people supporting the Beigin Olympics, then lots of them were coming over to take photos of the bride and groom with the...it was quite funny!
After we were done there we headed over to the Legislature Grounds for family pictures. The bride and groom both had wonderful families. We finished up there sooner than we thought so took a nice break before the reception.
The reception was at The Palace on the south side. This was my first time in this facility and I was in love. What a beatuiful place inside...you would never know it from the outside. The staff were amazing...very friendly. The food, which was a buffet was AWESOME.
It was a huge wedding, around 300 people, and the facility is so large it fit everyone really well!

Well in a couple of days I'll post a couple of photos.

Second of the season

Only three weeks ago I did my first wedding of the season, and onto my second. But this ones a different one...no ceremony! Yep you heard it right. This couple got married over a month ago in Mexico, but are doing all of the fun stuff here, leaving me to do formals and coverage of there reception on Saturday.

Not having a ceremony here is leaving us with tonnes of time for formals. Nice cause we can hit a couple of different locations, including Whyte Ave & the Alberta Legislature grounds.

The weatehr is looking goof for Saturday too, +15 and sunny.

Happy 90th Birthday

Jasons grandmother turned 90 last week and we had a huge party for her this past weekend. You would never guess she was 90 either!

Start of the wedding season

So last night was the kick of for wedding season for me. Well for the first wedding of the season I wish it were different. It was a very hectic day...not for me but for everyone in the bridal party. Once the ceremony was finished the bride and groom were done, so that made it hard for getting pictures done.

After we did mainly family formals at the Citadel Theatre we all left for the University of Alberta where we were doing the bridal party formals.

The reception was amazing, beautiful, and fun. They definately know how to have a good time. The food was amazing, appearance and taste alike.

After it was all said and done, I was exausted when I arrived home. I was thrilled that my daughter slept in a bit today, but all day I have been very tired, oh well gotta get use to it lots of weddings coming!

Pictures to come soon!

Busy Weekend

I'm glad Easter is done, even though it was a quiet weekend it was still a busy weekend. On Saturday I had three photography appointments, two sessions and one consultation.

My first appointment was for this adorable little girl Ashley, but nop she didn't want to smile very much. We still got some adorable shots of her, still working on them so it will be a while yet but figured her mom and dad would want to see one for now.

My second session, that was a different story. Danielle came with her whole family...her, hubby and three kids. How adorable they all are! Boy I love bribing kids, but guess what it worked! Thank goodness Easter was here cause I had a couple chocolate eggs for after there session. But they did a great job...I guess as good as you'll get from three kids!
